All members of the Imagine Foundations at Morningside Public Charter School community strive to be models of good character, upholding the vision of the school’s core values and communicating this vision through positive interactions with students, staff members, parents, and others. One of the most visible displays of this interaction involves family and community member participation in the parent-teacher organization (PTO).
Like most schools, we maintain an active PTO as a way to provide the families of our students with a voice to speak on behalf of every child and the best tools to help their children be safe, healthy, and successful — in school and in life. It is our belief that the team effort of a PTO offers the best possible learning environment for our children.
** For the 2017-2018 school year, the General Body meetings will be held on the third Wednesday of each month at 6pm, beginning in October, unless otherwise noted.
The mission of the Imagine Foundations at Morningside PTO is to bridge the gap between parents and teachers — to build, inspire, and empower our scholars and future leaders, under the guiding principle that, “Together we can make a difference.” We strive to promote the development of children and youth in our homes, schools, and community. We motivate scholars to utilize the knowledge and technological experience they receive to increase their self-confidence and enhance their self-esteem. We advocate for community service and team building.
